Enterprise Data Management & Engineering (EDME) provides modern Information and Technology (I&T) services and solutions to the Office of Information and Technology (OIT), U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) customers. EDME provides enterprise solutions providing optimal I&T data integrity and accessibility that ensure performance, quality, reliability and 24x7 I&T systems availability, which supports the protection of our borders and the facilitation of legitimate trade. In this capacity, EDME uses industry and government best practices to integrate business and technical solutions across the OIT enterprise. EDME provides its OIT, DHS and CBP customers with technical guidance, enterprise architecture management, systems engineering, data center operations and services, strategic implementation, security program management, technology evaluation and integration, audit coordination; and enterprise process management. Ed supports the local youth via AFCEA - STEM and science fair preparation. He also supports numerous charities, novitiate houses, shelters, and veterans support organizations (e.g., Wounded Warriors to Lourdes, Veteran’s Voices, DC; Homeless Women Veterans). Ed is fascinated with Alcubierre Drive and Quarternions. His personal theme song is “Where My Heart Will Take Me” from Star Trek: Enterprise, by Russell Watson. Ed has been married for over 35 years to Irene, and they have one daughter.
